Incidentally, one of the suggestions in the thread above was to Exclude Sibelius in the Audiio Hijack Pro.

Rogue Amoeba has released Audio Hijack 4, a huge update to its all-purpose Mac audio recording tool. When I did those things, I was good to go. Audio Hijack 4 features a new light interface mode and the ability to manually wire connections between blocks. When I read that, I realized Sibelius had been working fine until I used Audio Hijack Pro yesterday for the first time in over a year, after which Sibelius Sounds no longer worked.ġ) In Audio Hijack Pro, go to the menu item Audio Hijack Pro:Install Extras.Ģ) In the Instant On portion of the window that will open, click on the Settings button (lower right hand corner) and choose Uninstall. OK, I have found the problem, at least for me.Īnother thread ( ) addressed a conflict with the Instant On feature in Audio Hijack Pro. Publisher, Composer, Arranger, Conductor, Performer, and all the rest of the stuff we all do to try to eke out a living as a musician! Then click the X that appears on the left upper corner of Audio Hijack Pro to perform the uninstall. Click and hold Audio Hijack Pro icon with your mouse button until it starts to wiggle. Open up Launchpad, and type Audio Hijack Pro in the search box on the top.

Audio hijack instant on mac os#
Sibelius 7.0.2, Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), Option 2: Delete Audio Hijack Pro in the Launchpad. My immediate problem is that the ONLY playback sounds I have available are General MIDI, and since I use Sibelius to make demo sound files, General MIDI isn't close to adequate. The thing above about "very large" scores with "lots and lots of samples" doesn't seem to apply-I was working on a big band chart of only 100 bars or so. I tried opening several different files in differing instrumentations, and it is the same in all it doesn't appear to be file-specific. Then I was all of a sudden getting two sax parts playing, but only notes that didn't have staccatos on them. However, playback is totally cronked in all of the Sibelius sound sets none of them work, and until today they worked fine.Įxamples-in a big band chart, only the 2nd tenor part played, as if it were soloed in the Mixer. Then all of a sudden I can't save unless the Playback Configuration is General MIDI, switching to General MIDI while Sibelius is running crashes the application. I was fine until today-everything was working fine, and playback was great.

I have this too, and it's a MAJOR problem.
